Job description
Our client is an Inbound Tour Operator who have been established for over 30 years arranging B2B travel solutions across UK and Ireland.
Now recruiting a part time Finance Manager, to join their team at a pivotal growth moment.
You will be reporting to the Managing director, this role is critical to the continued growth of the company and the position offers an opportunity to undertake a hands on role. In terms of approach and style you will have a profound understanding of teamwork both as a manager and as a member of the team.
Finance Manager duties include
Processing, managing and reviewing the day to day financials, ensuring all tasks are processed in a timely matter
Preparing and managing regular payment runs, liaising with teams and ensuring vendor relationship is managed and maintained properly, all disputes and issues are dealt promptly
Control of financial management accounting & reporting including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet Preparation of monthly management accounts including variance & divisional analysis
Cash flow and P&L reporting; cash management; daily and weekly bank reconciliation
Preparing annual budgeting and forecasts
Analysing costs, sales results and the company's actual performance compared to targets/budgets Preparing year end accounts and liaising with auditors/accountants for any enquires
Prepare and provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff for the company
Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
Finance Manager skills / experience
Fully qualified (ACCA, ACA,CIMA) or qualified by experience (QBE) accountant with strong financial management accounting & reporting and controls experience gained within an SME business environment.
Be able to demonstrate an eye for detail, excellent IT skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Excellent problem solving skills and a hands on approach
Comfortable and confident at prioritising, and setting realistic targets
Experience implementing and maintaining financial controls
Expert experience in using accounting systems, TourPlan experience is a plus
Proficient in data entry and management and dealing with extremely high volume of transaction
Benefits include
Salary £45,000-50,000 pro rata.
