Job description

Our client is a leading luxury lifestyle travel company who offer a bespoke travel and concierge service to the clients.

Due recent new business wins, they are now seeking a travel team manager to join them to manage a team of German speaking travel consultants.

The Travel Manager will be responsible for the performance management of the team incorporating 1-2-1's appraisals, recruitment, leadership, coaching and team motivation.

Candidates will ideally have previous management experience gained within the travel industry with working knowledge of a GDS and must be fluent in German to native level.

Our client will also consider candidates who have experience working as a Senior Travel Executive and are seeking the opportunity to progress into a management role.

This role is offered on a hybrid basis - Central London although there is an option to be fully remote within the UK.

Our client will also Visa sponsorship for the right candidate.

German Speaking Travel Team Manager Responsibilities:

To manage resource plans, rota, and skilling for your team in coordination with workforce planning for the team to handle member's requests effectively and avoid any gaps in coverage

Work with your team to meet service level agreements to ensure they are delivered and aim to exceed to clients and expectations

Ensure that all consultants follow the same processes and have an equal level of knowledge to guarantee a professional service delivery throughout all teams

Set measures and targets for the team that contribute to the overall business need and ensure these are communicated timely so that the team know at the start of the month how and what they need to perform toTo regularly review request management by consultants, listening to calls and reading communication, to assess Member Satisfaction within your team.

Conduct monthly 121s and performance reviews for the team, identifying improvement areas and offering coaching, mentoring to maximize performance.

Support and coach consultants to manage their workload and homepage from day to day in the most effective way to deliver targeted response times and meet member expectations and to minimize their own stress and potential for making mistakes.

German Speaking Travel Team Manager Experience Required:

Previous management experience gained within the travel industry with working knowledge of a GDS is preferred.

Candidates who have experience working as a Senior Travel Executive and are seeking the opportunity to progress into a management role will also be considered

Fluency in German to mother tongue/native level

Experience in conducting 1-2-1's, setting KPI's, Smart objectives etc

German Speaking Travel Team Manager Salary and Benefits:

Base salary from £45,000 - £55,000 (depedning on experience)

Performance bonus up to £5,000 per annum

Work abroad policy for 4 weeks per year

22 days annual leave

Part remote/part office based or fully remote in the UK
