Job description

Our client is a well-established independently owned UK Inbound Tour Operator specialising in incoming travel and tourism.

They have been trading for over 20 years delivering the travel and events solutions to their travel trade partners providing.

bespoke travel across UK and Ireland.

They are now recruiting an experienced Finance Manager to join the team during a crucial team during their growth.

The Finance Manager must have experience in a similar role within the travel industry.

The Finance Manager will be responsible for maintaining, developing and improving effective financial systems, delivering clear and insightful management information.

Excellent commercial awareness, a good level of experience in accountancy, strong interpersonal skills are essential for this role.

The role is offered on a hybrid basis - Central London.

Finance Manager Responsibilities and Duties:

Processing, managing and reviewing the day to day financials, ensuring all tasks are processed in a timely matter

Preparing and managing regular payment runs, liaising with teams and ensuring vendor relationship is managed and maintained properly, all disputes and issues are dealt promptly

Designing and implementing good practice control process across all business departments, ensuring errors and problems are quickly identified, safeguarding the business to prevent issues and potential problems

Preparation of monthly management accounts including variance & divisional analysis

Cash flow and P&L reporting; cash management; daily and weekly bank reconciliation

Preparing annual budgeting and forecasts

Analysing costs, sales results and the company's actual performance compared to targets/budgets

Preparing year end accounts and liaising with auditors/accountants for any enquires

Prepare and provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff for the company

Finance Manager Experienced Required:

Fully qualified (ACCA, ACA,CIMA) or qualified by experience (QBE) accountant with strong financial management accounting & reporting and controls experience gained within the travel industry.

Great attention to detail and ability to thrive under pressure and enjoy meeting deadlines

Extremely self-motivated and have a pro-active approach to your work

Excellent problem solving skills and a hands on approach

Excellent communication skills in all forms

Expert experience in using accounting systems, TourPlan experience is a plus

Finance Manager Experienced Required:

Base Salary £45,000 depending on experience

22 days annual leave
