Job description

My client is a financially secure high end luxury travel company who specialise in high end beach holidays to worldwide destinations such as the Caribbean, USA, Indian Ocean, Far East and Middle East.

They are a direct sell online travel agent who have won several awards for excellence and customer service.

As the travel industry rebounds, my client is expanding their product range and has recently launched a cruise programme.

They are now recruiting for a Cruise Sales Manager who will assist with the implementation of the newly created Cruise department.

The Cruise Sales Manager should have first-hand experience of successfully developing and managing Cruise Product and must demonstrate effective sales & negotiation skills.

The successful candidate will be expected to manage a small team of Sales Cruise Consultants ,leading and managing, there would also be the requirement to 'get your hands dirty' and lead by example in selling the new Cruise product.

To be considered, you must have previous cruise sales experience as well as team leader/management experience and be motivated by growth and achieving sales targets.

This role is offered on a hybrid basis - part remote and part office based.

Cruise Sales Manager Responsibilities

Working alongside Senior Management and Directors, you will create and implement the strategy to launch and develop the Cruise programme.

Working alongside various departments across the business, you will ensure the end-to-end process for the Cruise programme is effective and delivers results.

Lead and manage a small team of Sales Consultants through on-going coaching, KPI targets and professional development.

Negotiate contracts to ensure we have the most lucrative commercial terms.

Provide regular KPI reporting to the Senior Management team.

Adopt a hands-on approach and be involved in the selling of the new Cruise programme, liaising directly with customers via both phone and email.

Cruise Sales Manager Experience Required

An in-depth knowledge of Ocean & River Cruising and brands

Extensive experience in a managerial Cruise position (must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of generating sales).

Ability to encourage, motivate and identify training needs.

A strong fundamental understanding of business KPIs, the ability to demonstrate strategic capability and must be commercially astute.

Cruise Sales Manager Experience Required

Base Salary of 35,000

Commission based on individual and team performance.

20 days annual leave rising to 25 days
