Job description

My client is an award-winning luxury tour operator who are specialists in luxury long haul travel.

They are now recruiting for an experienced Head of Marketing to join their team which will focus on multiple channels including both online and offline activities as well as managing a team.

The Head of Marketing must also be commercial driven with a focus on delivering tangible results, introducing new strategies, and leading a motivated marketing team.

Candidates must have previous senior Marketing Management experience within the travel industry preferably within long haul travel as well as team management experience.

Head of Marketing Duties and Responsibilities

Manage the relationships and co-operative marketing campaigns with a range of suppliers including Tourist Boards, hotels, and airlines.

Lead and manage the marketing team with an ethos of leading by example and through regular team meetings, objective setting, and mentoring.

Work with in-house teams to establish and deliver onsite content and SEO strategies & objectives.

Lead the planning and execution of campaign and trigger emails to ensure effective open and click through rates for all email activity.

Work closely with the team to devise social media schedule and prepare engaging posts which generate engagement. Clearly demonstrate ability to grow both following and engagement on all social media channels.

Head of Marketing Experience Required

Previous marketing management experience in the travel industry is essential

Good product knowledge of long-haul travel destinations

Strong analytical, project management skills

Experience in setting multi-channel targets, measuring activity, and presenting results.

Be able to demonstrate strong negotiations in media buying.

Experience of leading a team of marketing specialists.

Experience of analytics tools, general numerical and analytical skills, advanced Google Doc & MS Excel skills.

Strong written and verbal communication including the ability to present suggestions, recommendations and results with knowledge and confidence.

Head of Marketing Salary and Benefits

Base salary to 65,000 (negotiable) + Bonus
