We are supporting our client, a dynamic Destination Management Company (DMC), part of a wider travel group, providing comprehensive ground handling services across the UK and Ireland. They specialise in tailor-made group programs, including cultural tours, special interest travel, experiential itineraries, and series operations, alongside our own guaranteed departures.
With offices in London, Edinburgh, and Dublin, their teams of destination experts collaborate to deliver exceptional service and innovative travel solutions.
Role Overview
They are seeking a driven and experienced Business Development Executive to manage and grow a multimarket client portfolio. The role focuses on generating new business opportunities, preparing competitive group quotations, and building strong relationships with clients and suppliers across the UK and Ireland inbound travel sector.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Client Management
- Proactively develop new business opportunities through networking, sales calls, and relationship building
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
- Identify high-potential clients across touring groups, special interest, educational, and series markets.
- Stay informed about competitors, market trends, and pricing strategies
Quotations & Sales
- Handle all incoming group requests from new and existing clients
- Qualify leads and create tailored, competitive proposals based on client needs
- Ensure all quotations are accurate, timely, and aligned with company standards
- Follow up proactively on all proposals to maximize conversion rates
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience in a UK & Ireland inbound tour operator (groups focus)
- Proven experience in group quotations and costings
- Strong knowledge of the UK and Ireland as travel destinations
- Good understanding of market rates and pricing structures
- Experience with Tourplan (or similar systems) is advantageous
- Fluency in English and at least one additional European language.
